About Jeremy Broun
​​​Jeremy Broun is an award-winning British furniture designer maker, woodworking author and filmmaker based in Bath, UK.
Educated at Chippenham Grammar school and Abbotsholme Independent Progressive school, he trained at Shoreditch College as a Handicrafts teacher gaining a distinction on the Advanced Wood course. He is self-taught as a designer maker.


Teaching and Professional practice
​Jeremy taught for 6 years in secondary schools in London, Glasgow and at Millfield school in Somerset.​He was a founder member of the Dove Centre of Creativity crafts commune near Glastonbury and since establishing his own workshop in Bath he has lectured part-time at colleges such as Goldsmiths, Bristol Polytechic, Rycotewood college and the Connemara West Centre (latterly known as the Letterfrack Furniture college). For three decades he was considered to be in the top rank of innovative British furniture makers, exhibited at major group shows, lectured in Finland and Australia. His vast experience culminated in an invitstion to become a freelance inspector for the British Accreditation Council in 2009.

​​​Jeremy Broun has exhibited alongside John Makepeace (who led late 20th Crentury innovative furniture design) for over three decades. Apart from woodworking Jeremy Broun has a passion for the guitar and for interesting cars and motorcycles.
