Alan Peters Award Throughout Jeremy Broun’s furniture making career he exhibited alongside and got to know Alan Peters whose work he first admired when he was at school. As a tribute to this foremost designer maker an Award For Excellence was established in his name to celebrate his legacy. The Alan Peters Award for Excellence is held annually and is open to designer makers un- der the age of 30. The judges are Jason Heap who directs the Celebration of Craftsmanship and Design exhibition in Cheltenham each year, Keith Newton, an apprentice to Alan and Jeremy Broun who made a documentary video and published an e-book on him.
