Innovation A strong feature of Jeremy Broun’s work over the past five decades is improvement by change which is sometimes radical and often subtle and a good example of the radical is his Caterpillar Rocking Chair design that resolves the rocking motion in a unique structure and bold new form. A more subtle form of innovation is his Man and Nature Table (made from a tree given by Kew gardens from The Great Storm of 1987) as this table uses the natural form of waney edged planks, leaving the rough marks of the bandsaw cut on the edges and using “invisible” joints.
